Stick to healthy eating!
Is your New Year’s resolution to start eating healthier? Let’s be honest… changing your eating habits isn’t the easiest of tasks. However, we’ve come up with some tips to help you make 2017 the year you actually stick to healthy eating! Here are some easy ways to help you stick with your New Year’s resolution without getting boring your taste buds to death!
Make it enjoyable!
The main reason in which so many “diets” fail is because firstly; they aren’t enjoyable and secondly, they aren’t realistic. Trying a juice cleanse, no carb diets or half a tin of soup per day is only going to make you feeling deprived, hungry and tired.
This then does the opposite of what you’re aiming for and leads you back to your unhealthy eating habits.
Come up with a diet plan!
“When you fail to plan, you plan to fail”
Creating a plan is one of the most important factors of changing your eating habits. When you have something on paper to follow it is much easier to stick to it!
Create a table for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for each day of the week.

Write your shopping list!
Using your meal plan, you then need to identify which ingredients you need to buy from the supermarket!
Create a shopping list and take that with you when you’re doing the grocery run – ticking items off as you buy them. It’s also a good idea to go on a full stomach to avoid impulse buys which will also save you some money at the same time! This can be one of the main reasons people don’t stick to healthy eating!
Scrap the junk!
When it comes to changing your eating habits, if you really want it to work you need to make some sacrifices!
We all tend to have a cupboard full of chocolate, sweets and other goodies locked away after the festive season has hit. However, you need to get rid of it – it’s only going to tempt you!
If you can’t see any junk food, you won’t eat any… see my point?
Get people involved!
Changing your lifestyle becomes a lot easier when you’re doing it with other people. This isn’t just relating to your diet, but also exercise, bad habits… the list goes on.
Getting your family and friends to join you on your journey when it comes to eating habits is one of the best ways in which you will stick to it. You can go to eat at healthy places, have dinner parties with a healthy spread and even share recipes!
This way you are not sacrificing your social life to change your eating habits and therefore more likely to enjoy your diet!
