12 days of Christmas fitness Challenge

Isn’t Christmas just the most wonderful time of the year? But if you find you’re in a similar situation to me, in that you find yourself over indulging on a few extra mince pies, well they soon add up, so we have put together a 12 days of Christmas fitness challenge that will help to keep you in tip top condition over the festive period. As every day passes we ask you to add one more exercise to your fitness plan. Below we have drawn up an example.

Day 1: 5 squats
Day 2: 5 squats and 10 burpees
Day 3: 5 squats, 10 burpees and 5 bench hops
Day 4: 5 squats, 10 burpees, 5 bench hops and a 30 second plank
Day 5: 5 squats, 10 burpees, 5 bench hops, 30 second plank and 20 sit ups
Day 6: 5 squats, 10 burpees, 5 bench hops, 30 second plank, 20 sit ups and 10 calf rises
Day 7: 5 squats, 10 burpees, 5 bench hops, 30 second plank, 20 sit ups, 10 calf rises and 25 star jumps
Day 8: 5 squats, 10 burpees, 5 bench hops, 30 second plank, 20 sit ups, 10 calf rises, 25 star jumps and 5 forward lunges
Day 9: 5 squats, 10 burpees, 5 bench hops, 30 second plank, 20 sit ups, 10 calf rises, 25 star jumps, 5 forward lunges and 5 push ups
Day 10: 5 squats, 10 burpees, 5 bench hops, 30 second plank, 20 sit ups, 10 calf rises, 25 star jumps, 5 forward lunges, 5 push ups and 5 reverse crunches
Day 11: 5 squats, 10 burpees, 5 bench hops, 30 second plank, 20 sit ups, 10 calf rises, 25 star jumps, 5 forward lunges, 5 push ups, 5 reverse crunches and 2 a minute bicep curl
Day 12: 5 squats, 10 burpees, 5 bench hops, 30 second plank, 20 sit ups, 10 calf rises, 25 star jumps, 5 forward lunges, 5 push ups, 5 reverse crunches, 2 minute bicep curl and 12 jump lunges
